Bowdoin College

Taught first-year Russian course at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Coordinated curriculum with conversation section leader, prepared class plans, developed quizzes and tests.

Wrote training materials for medical interpreters working with various languages. Training curriculum builds on experience working as interpreter for patients from the Former Soviet Union and practitioners of diverse specialities.

Proofread and verified accuracy of documents translated from English into Russian.

The Language Exchange

Teach and tutor Russian to diverse groups of adult learners, adapting curriculum to suit student needs.

Translating includes legal documents from Russian into English. Interpreting includes corporate training sessions.


Read Russian- and English-language articles in performing arts journals and trade publications and write English-language abstracts for database. Russian-language reading covers nearly 1,000 articles in a “thick” journal on Russian film, arts, and culture.

University of Southern Maine

Taught first- and second-year Russian courses at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. Created class plans to develop grammar skills and oral proficiency. Incorporated popular music into classes.
