Professional Business Writing Services

Could hiring an experienced freelance writer save you time, money, and nerves?

I specialize in transforming my clients’ outlines, rough drafts, and ideas into clear texts that reflect their individual messages and styles.

My job is finding the right words to describe your work, communicate news, and win new customers and contracts. Estimates and initial consultations are free, so please click here to ask how I can help you write targeted Web content, press releases, and business correspondence. You can also click through to my portfolio, resumes, and FAQ.

Here are some typical ways I collaborate with clients:

  • Newsletters
  • Media materials
  • Web content
  • Success stories
  • Business correspondence
  • Ghostwriting
  • Proofreading

  • Newsletters
Newsletters can be a cost-effective method for communicating news and advice to employees. Newsletters for clients are an excellent medium for conveying the depth of your expertise.

    Media materials
Media materials include press releases and company fact sheets. I’ve used hundreds of press releases when writing articles and draw on that experience when I help clients draft or edit their own media materials.

    Web content
Web content is all about balance. A site’s copy should move visitors to take action -- click through to buy or ask for information -- without making them feel sales pressure. I follow basic principles of search engine optimization (SEO), such as using varied terminology to boost search results.

    Success stories
Success stories and case studies showcase expertise by demonstrating how products, services, and knowledge benefit clients. Success stories can also be a valuable vehicle for showing how employees contribute to an organization’s work.

    Business correspondence
Business correspondence covers many items, including sales letters, proposals, and e-mail. Brevity is important in all business writing, and I enjoy the challenge of shrinking letters to fit one page. I also love writing difficult correspondence, such as polite refusals and repeat requests for action.

Most materials that I write that carry my clients’ names instead of my own are examples of ghostwriting. I find ghostwriting fun because it requires using new voices. Common ghostwritten pieces include newsletters, correspondence, and success story articles.

Proofreading involves checking draft text for mistakes. I look for spelling errors and grammar problems when I proofread, making sure to verify proper names.
